One of the richest people alive is also one that loves reading books. Billionaire Bill Gates shared what he is reading this summer. Keep reading to find out what he is reading!

Gates has become a stable force when it comes to releasing what books he is reading. His annual reading lists draw a lot of attention and rightfully so. Only former President Barack Obama’s reading lists are more popular.
What Bill Gates is Reading Summer 2023 List
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
The list includes two novels and while that may be a lot less than we liked, it is still a good list. The first novel that Gates mentions is Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. It was one if the most popular books of 2022 and one that is on my reading list. You can see what Gates had to say about the novel.
“This terrific novel tells the story of two friends who grow up bonding over Super Mario Bros. and then, in college, start making their own games together. I really related to the story—in fact, it reminded me a lot of my relationship with Paul Allen and our work together at Microsoft. Tomorrow was one of the biggest books of last year, and it’s easy to see why. Zevin is a great writer who makes you care deeply about her characters.”

Born in Blackness
The second book is Born in Blackness by Howard French and talks about how various African kingdoms had city-states that rivaled Europe’s. That is not how African nations are talked about and French wants to correct that false narrative.
Conclusion
This is a short but interesting list that is going to encourage people to read these two books. It is nice to see that even Gates cannot escape book trends and that he is keeping up with book news just like the rest of us. Hopefully, we see a bigger list soon as we near the six month mark of 2023.
Thanks for sharing these books – I just finished reading Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow and agree with Bill Gates’s recommendation!
