Time has released their picks for the best books in 2022 and their list looks much different than the other lists. What that says about the books that have been released this is year is that there are a lot to choose from. Keep reading to find out which books Time chose as their favorite picks!
When it comes to books, Time isn’t an organization that many people think of. They are remembered for their Time’s Person of the Year and even then, people don’t really care much. With that said, they do have a good list of books in their list so they are doing something right there.

Time’s Best Books of 2022
- Signal Fires by Dani Shapiro
- Trust by Hernan Diaz
- Lesser Known Monsters of the 21st Century by Kim Fu
- Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart
- If I Survive You by Jonathan Escoffery
- Vladimir by Julia May Jonas
- All This Could Be Different by Sarah Thankam Mathews
- The Book of Goose by Yiyun Li
- The Hero of This Book by Elizabeth McCracken
- Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
The Book of the Year
There are a lot of books on this list that I have not heard of or haven’t garnered much attention. Seeing how diverse a lot of the best books of 2022 lists are makes me happy because that means it was a great year for books. More and more books are being published than ever before and many of them seem to be finding their core audience.
Even then, the book of the year seems to be decided unanimously. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin is one book that appears on most lists. It was chosen by Goodreads as the best fiction book of 2022. If you were to read one book from 2022, then I would recommend this one.
Conclusion
What did you think of Time’s best books of 2022 list? Were you even expecting a list from Time? I know I wasn’t. Their list seems to be good so we’ll consider this a job well done. Until next time, happy reading!
