One of my favorite things is how available information is in thi day and age. With just a few clicks, we can see what readers are reading and what novels are trending. Goodreads is able to track how many times a book was read and give us this information that is easy to read. The only problem with this information is that most of the users are young and it is female dominated and the data reflects that. You can see the full list below!

It Starts With Us is the Most Read Book of August
With the release of the movie It Starts With Us, the novel surged and it led to many people reading this novel. Whether fans are rereading it or new audience is discovering this novel, we will never know. What we do know is that the movie’s success made the novel trend again and become the most read book of August.
In second place is The Women by Kristin Hannah. First released in February of this year, the novel has dominated most charts. The staying power of this novel has been impressive and as It Starts With Us leaves the chart, I expect this novel to top the list next month.
In third place is Emily Henry’s Funny Story and that shouldn’t surprise anyone. Henry is one of the most popular romance authors and all her novels are popular until her next novel is released. Many authors dream of being this dominant and having a fan base that can keep you charting for a year or more.
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez is the surprise novel here as the author is slowly becoming a fan favorite. I think this novel will set Jimenez as a must read author and this novel should stay on this list for a good while. People love what Jimenez is bringing to the table with her latest novel and has inserted herself in a list with the most popular authors of the 2020’s.
And coming in Fifth is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. This romantasy novel has taken the world by storm and made Yarros one of the biggest authors in the world. Her next novel in the series is set to be released in January 2025 and will shatter many records.
