We are back with another edition of the most read books of the week on Goodreads. The list gives us a glimpse of what the gereral public is reading and what books and authors are popular at the moment. Keep reading to see what books made the list this week!

As always, I like to point out that no list is perfect but gives us an idea of what the general public is reading. This list by Goodreads leans towards younger readers and as the books on the list suggest, a majority of the audience is female. The first male author doesn’t crack the top 25 and doesn’t appear until the 28th most read book of the week.

Many of these books are bestsellers and have made their authors household names. By word of mouth or online communities, these books keep finding new audiences and has helped them dominate this list as well as bestseller lists. You can check out the full list below!

The Most Read Books of the Week

It Ends With Us Tops the List

Once again, It Ends with Us is the most read book of the week. The movie adaptation has made this the most popular book of August and it has topped weekly bestseller lists as a result. Hoover is having a moment once again and her star power is unmatched.

Speaking of star power, Emily Henry comes in third place and has cemented herself as one of the biggest romance authors alive. But she was unable to surpass The Women by Kristin Hannah, an incredible author who is finally becoming one of the biggest authors in the world. Her books are incredible and I am happy she is seeing the success that she has earned and deserves.

There are multiple appearances by multiple authors on this list such as Freida McFadden as readers are discovering her bibliography and have her as the next author to dominate the charts. Her next novel will surely be a mainstay in the charts. Other notable authors on the list include Sarah J. Mass and Rebecca Yarros who are dominating many lists with their series of romantasy novels.

Conclusion
