Warner Bros. Discovery is set on making a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie and is pushing to make it a reality.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Movie is Seriously Being Considered
Recently, there has been news that Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav wants to reboot the Harry Potter franchise. And he is trying to take Cursed Child from a play and make it a movie. It makes sense when you think about it because it has already been created and can easily be adapted into a movie. It will be a guaranteed box office hit and make Warner Bros. Discovery a billion and more.

There has been no confirmation from the media conglomerate about this but Zaslav said in a meeting that the studio hasn’t “done a Harry Potter movie in 15 years. We’re going to have a real focus on franchises…We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years,” he continued.
A Guaranteed Blockbuster
The Harry Potter and the DC movies have been the most profitable for Warner Bros. and it is less risky to reboot popular franchises than create new ones. Disney has Marvel movies that almost always guarantee a blockbuster and make billions of dollars.
You may be wondering “What about the Fantastic Beasts movies?” but you can forget about those. The franchise is said to be shelved as Warner Bros. has no plans to make any more movies. They were originally set to make a total of five movies but the lack of success from the latest films has guaranteed its end.
A New Harry Potter Movie is Inevitable
News of a new Harry Potter movie or TV adaption has been gaining attraction over the past week. It is free publicity for the franchise and I expect Zaslav to use this to his advantage. It almost sounds like a new Harry Potter project is inevitable because of its guaranteed success and we should here something about it in the next six months.
What do you make of the news of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child being made into a movie? As I said earlier, it will eventually be made into a movie one day because it is already written and has been critically acclaimed. With the popularity of the show alone, it will make over a hundred million in its first week.
