Best of the Best

The best fiction book of 2022 is Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. This novel has appeared on almost all of the best books of 2022 lists and that is why I am not surprised it was voted as the best fiction book. It is going to be made into a movie and should be arriving in a couple of years.

The fantasy book of the year went to House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas. She is used to winning this award as it is her third consecutive year winning it. Talk about dominating the competition. Mass started writing her first novel when she was 16.

Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel took home the crown for the best science fiction novel. This is her first award but she should have won for Station Eleven. Either way, she is becoming a star in the science-fiction genre. Can’t wait to see what she does next!

As someone who really enjoyed The Office, it is nice to see Office BFFs: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There by Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey win as the best humor book. Part of it may be due to the show’s popularity and their podcast. A great win nonetheless and well deserved.

I agree about Tomorrow x3. It was very good! I can see it becoming a modern classic.
