Best Selling Books of the Week in California for Week 3

We are coming to the end of the first month of 2025 and a lot has happened. Keep reading to see which novels made this week’s list!

This list covers the state of California only as the data comes from the California Independent Booksellers Alliance (CALIBA). As of right now, this is the only consistent list we can find.

The best selling hardcover book this week was James by Percival Everett. The novel is considered to be the best book of the past year and has started off selling a lot to start the new year.

The best selling paperback was The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. This self-help book was released in the last week of 2024 and is gaining momentum. Self-help books are some of the most popular books that sell consistently. You can see the full list below!
