I am a big fan of the New York Public Library curating their own lists of the best books of the year. And the New York Public Library wasted no time releasing their best books of the year. Keep reading to see which 50 adult books they chose as the best books of 2024!
Many libraries release a list of the most checked out books and that is always cool to check out. You can see what cities are reading and it varies from each city. However, libraries don’t often make a list of the best books of the year because they just always have the resources. The New York Library seems to and turned to their librarians to choose the best books of 2024, ranging from children’s book, to young adult, and adult books.
This list will be looking only at the adult books and 50 is a lot for any list. There are a ton of great picks and many books that might have gotten the attention they deserve. This list might not be as big as NPR’s list but it is still a lot and they still have a couple more lists separated by age groups. You can see the full list below!
