As we all wait for January 21, 2025 to arrive so we all finally read the third book in the Empyrean series, Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, we now have a book blurb. And the promotion for this book is insane as voice actor Michael Eok was hired to read the book blurb on Good Morning America!
After the huge success of the first two books in the series, Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, it makes sense why publisher Entangled’s imprint Red Tower Books is going all out. Everyone at Entanged is going to be behind marketing this novel as it will most likely shatter numerous records when it is finally released.

As many fans guessed, the third novel will explore new lands that were hinted at in the first two books. The world of Empyrean keeps on growing and Yarros will definitely have a few surprises as always.
I am curious as to what the big secret is but it most likely involves Violet and Xaden. Fourth Wing was an incredible novel and I could not put the novel down. But that magic didn’t translate to Iron Flame for me. The second novel was released about 6 months after Fourth Wing and could have been rushed. But I am glad that Yarros took her time with this novel and it leads to it being a better novel as a result.
