Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas confirmed that there is a fourth Crescent City book in an interview with The Today Show.
Mass Says There is a Fourth Crescent City Book
In an interview with host Jenna Bush, Maas admitted that there is a fourth Crescent City book and that she plans to write it eventually. She said that is busy as she has many projects to work on but it is down the line.
“You will have to wait a bit,” she said. “On the airport taxiing line, it’s a little down, but I know who the book’s about. I know the big ideas of what I want to happen.”
In 2022, Maas admitted that she wanted to write a fourth book in the Crescent City series. But she was only contracted for three. That won’t be a problem for Maas anymore as she is probably the biggest author out right now.
Her latest novel House of Flame and Shadow became the third fastest selling fantasy series of all time earlier this year with over 44,000 copies in its first week. Her rise to stardom has many calling her the next J. K. Rowling and rightfully so.
Maas recently made Bloomsbury, her publishing company, increase their projected profit for 2024 because of how well all of her novels are doing. This should be more than enough incentive for Bloomsbury to let her do what she wants. The more books she releases, the more money they make.

Next Book by Sarah J. Maas
Everyone is now waiting to see what Maas will be releasing. We know that ACOTAR 6is next but after that, it is a mystery.
“There’s one book that I’m going to be writing after this next ‘ACOTAR’ book that I’m very excited about. I’m not going to say what world it’s in. I’m not going to say anything,” she said. “But it’s a story that’s been brewing in the back of my mind for a long time. … I think it’s going to be a very emotional book for me to write just in terms of the world I’ll be writing and the characters that might pop up.”
