Rebecca Yarros’ novel Fourth Wing popularity has already greenlit a TV show and is being worked on by by Amazon MGM Studios.
Fourth Wing TV Show Has Been Greenlit
Outlier Society, Michael B. Jordan’s production company, and Amazon acquired the rights to Fourth Wing as well as the follow up Iron Flame. They also bought the rights to the next three books in the series.
Yarros will be a part of the TV show as she is a non-writing executive producer alongside Liz Pelletier, who works for Entangled Publishing, Yarros’ publishing company. Liz Raposo is executive producing the show for Outlier.

Yarros celebrated her novel and series getting a TV adaptation on Instagram.

Fourth Wing Book Three is Announced
Fans of The Empyrean series will be happy to know that Rebecca Yarros has finally announced the release date of the third book in the series. The third book is called Onyx Storm and will be released on January 21, 2025. You can find addtional details about that book and release date here.
Fourth Wing TV Show Release Date
So far, the show is in the beginning stages. The expected release date for the Fourth Wing TV show is in 2026. By then, we may have one of two more books in the Fourth Wing universe.
