Stand Outs
When ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’ was making the waves on the internet, it became a big moment in the book and celebrity world. We got to get an inside look at Jennette McCurdy’s life and realize it is not easy growing up famous. Her tell-all tale shows her holding nothing back as she details her difficult childhood and her relationship with her mother.

A book I heard a lot of good things about is ‘Babel’ by R.F. Kuang. Just by the cover art alone I know I would pick this book up at a bookstore. Robin Swift is an orphan brought to the U.K from China and is groomed to become a linguistic so she can attend the prestigious school of Babel. But is this what she wants to do? I do plan on reading this book in the near future!

Lastly, a book that needs to be discusses is Michelle Obama’s ‘The Light We Carry.’ It is a collection of short stories and “practices” that she does that have helped her deal with difficult questions. This book is a follow-up to her #1 best-seller ‘Becoming’ and everyone is eager to see what this book has to offer.
