Three months of the 2022 year have flown and I figured it would be a great time to do a recap of all the books I have read so far. I have been able to read 11 books and some of them I enjoyed while others I never want to see again. Here are the books I’ve read so far.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
A novel about a girl named Mary that lives in a small village that is barricaded all around to prevent the zombies from entering. Unlike most novels, this novel takes a different approach to the zombie novels by letting the loved ones choose whether to let their loved ones turn to zombies or kill them before that happens. (name of girl) feels trapped in the village and wants to see the ocean and when her mother is bitten by a zombie, her whole life is upended.
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
Inside king Nikolai resides a demon that is slowly getting more and more powerful. It is up. To him and Zoya to find a solution or the country of Ravka will be thrown into chaos without a leader to guide them.
Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
The conclusion to the King of Scars novel. King Nikolai leads Ravka to war against Fjerda. The Darkling has returned and while his power hasn’t returned, he is still to be feared. Nina is undercover in Fjerda and Zoya tries to come to terms with her past and her newfound powers.
No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy
Llewelyn Moss comes across a drug deal gone wrong in the desert. He finds a briefcase with a lot of money in and he leaves as the man in the vehicle slowly bleeds to death. But Llewelyn conscience makes him return later and he comes across to cartel members who try to kill him. A hired assassin tries to track Llewelyn down and the city of Texas gets caught in the crosshairs.
The third novel in the Skyward series. Spensa ends up in another demension called nowhere and has to find out the truth about the delvers. Spensa has to team up with her new friends and try to escape the nowhere before the delvers and the Superiority attack her hoke planet.
Ready Player Two By Ernwest Cline
Easily the worst novel I have so far read this year. Some books do not need a sequel and this is true for Ready Player One. Matt and his friends get trapped in virtual reality and have 12 hours to solve the new quest or they and over 500,000 people will die. A bland plot that does not work and the pop culture references are ridiculous.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship and doesn’t remember anything. As his memory returns slowly, Grace realizes that he is humanity’s last hope of survival. The Sun is fading and it is causing earth to freeze over and unless Grace can find the solution, everyone on earth will die.
These are the remaining three books that I have read. You can visit the blog posts about themor click the link and that should take you there.
- Ruin and Rising Leigh Bardugo
- Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
- The Case of Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been reading. How I choose books is somewhat random, what I come across on the internet, favorite authors, and trying something out of my comfort zone. I have been busier lately and have not been able to read as much as I would have liked but I shall keep the book reviews and blog posts coming! Join the newsletter to follow what I am currently reading and what’s in store!
If you liked No Country for Old Men (which I have not read, but did see the movie twice), you will probably also, er, enjoy The Road.
It was interesting but not something I really liked. I will check out the road to see how McCormick writes since no country for old men was written for the movie instead of as a novel
