This is one of my favorite novels. I saw the title from across the room in a Barnes and Noble when it was first released and knew, with a title like that, I had to read it. It’s everything you say and more. I also learned to improve my time jumps in my own writing by using chapter and part titles with time and place stamps similar to his. That allows the story telling to progress with theme rather than sequence, a bit jarring at first, but then it all clicks in nicely.
