My Reading Goal for 2026

After reaching my goal for 2025 by a lot, I knew I had to choose an even more difficult reading goal. Which is why I will try to read more books than I have before in any year. Keep reading to find out what my reading goal for 2026 will be!

In 2025, I was reading consistently for most of the year. Near the end of the year (when I was traveling), my reading pace did slow down. And even then, I was still able to surpass my reading goal of a hundred book.

In total, I read 118 books and I surprised even myself. A big reason I was able to read this many books was because I found a ton of amazing books to read.

I am proud that I was able to read this many books and I was able to do that because I made time to read no matter what. Ultimately, I was reading a lot of books was because my reading list had a ton of amazing books that I was excited to read.

For 2026, I wanted to choose a goal that was realistic but also higher than my previous accomplishment. Which is why I decided to make my reading goal of 120 books.

No matter what my reading goal is, the important thing is to enjoy reading and reading for fun. If I am not enjoying a book, I will not finish is, no matter how close it will push me to my reading goal.

I was able to read so many books because I had a ton of amazing books to read. My reading list is filled with so many amazing novels that I will always have something to read. And that doesn’t even include the books from last year.

This year, I want to do read more fantasy and sci-fi books. And maybe even some more horror novels. My reading list is filled with novels from all sorts of genres. But I also want to read new genres such as Lit RPG and discover even more new genres. Maybe I will also read manga and see how that goes.

Reading 120 books is a goal that I believe I will achieve. So far, I have read over 20 books with just a little over a month in. And I don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
