We are a few months into 2025 and you should have read a bunch of books by now. And Amazon is a great place to find new books with their list of the must read sci-fi and fantasy books for 2025 that you should read!
If you are like me, you always are looking for new science fiction and fantasy books to read. I have read many of the classics and love seeing what new authors and authors who have been writing books about these genres are doing.
We all have visited a bookstore and chosen a book by an author who we recognize. But that means we aren’t discovering our next favorite author. And this list has a bunch of authors you may not have heard of along with one that everyone has. You can see the full list below!
Must Read Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books
- All the Water in the World by Eiren Caffall
- Cold Storage (The Revival Series Book 2) by Michael C. Grumley
- Lightfall: Book One of The Everlands (The Everlands Trilogy 1) by Ed Crocker
- Onyx Storm (The Empyrean Book 3) by Rebecca Yarros
- Four Ruined Realms (The Broken Blades Book 2) by Mai Corland
- Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor
- Motheater byLinda H. Codega
- Babylonia by Costanza Casati
Rebecca Yarros is a household name at this point and her Empyrean series is great and worth checking. Onyx Storm is book three in the series and you will end up reading her books in a day or so.
