It feels like August just started but we are already marching into Fall as September is almost here. Now is a great time to look at the most read books in August and see what everyone was reading. So, keep reading to find out which books made the list!
I don’t know about you but I like to see which books everyone was eager to get their hands and read. We have had so many amazing releases in 2025 and this list reflects that. It seems like every author has decided to release a new book this year and we are here for all of it.
This list was curated using data from Goodreads and makes it easy to see what everyone was reading and wanted to read. New books and books that were released in early 2025 made the list which you can see below!
- Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
- One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune
- The Wedding People by Alison Espach
- The Tenant by Frieda McFadden
- The Housemaid (The Housemaid, #1) by Freida McFadden
- Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall
- Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn
- Sunrise On The Reaping by Suzanne Collins
- My Friends by Fredrik Backman
- Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
- Onyx Storm (The Empyrean, #3) by Rebecca Yarros
- Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
Atmosphere is once again the most read book of the month. The top three is in fact the same as it was in July. But Wedding People jumps up one spot while Frieda McFadden lands in the fifth and sixth spot. Broken Country cracked the top ten this week as it saw a surge in numbers.
Sunrise on the Reaping and Onyx Storm are still going strong months after they were released. It is incredible that they have been so popular and I don’t see them leaving this list anytime soon. Abby Jimenez also had a big month as she saw her two latest novels make our weekly list, coming in at 11 and 13.
