There have been so many incredible new releases and it feels like it’s impossible to keep up. Luckily for us, there are many publications that are reviewing books as they come out. Which is why we will be looking at the best reviewed books of the month!

I know it will take me a few years to make a dent in my ever-growing to-read list because of this year. Critics seem to love The City Changes Its Face by Eimear McBride and her style of writing. The positive reviews will surely get more people to read this novel and we’ll see how it ranks at the end of year lists.

Jason Mott is an author who has quite a resume and many fans have been waiting for his next novel. And People Like Us lives up to all the expectations. It will be facing a lot of competition as one of the best books of 2025 but fans of Mott will be happy with his latest release.

I am always looking for new nonfiction books to read and I will be adding King of Kings by Scott Anderson to my reading list. Iran is a country that doesn’t get enough attention and I am all for it and it looks like this book will be making many end of year lists for best nonfiction.
