The Women

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, book of 2024 had to be The Women by Kristin Hannah. It topped the New York Times Bestseller list and has been a mainstay on various bestseller lists. The novel is about Frances “Frankie” McGrath as she follows her brother to war in Vietnam and joins a war unlike any other and faces the aftermath when she returns home.
Dune
You may be surprised to see Dune on this list and we don’t blame you. The novel is over 50 years old and feels out of place. But this is all thanks to the popularity of the second Dune movie. That has helped readers rediscover this novel and has helped it chart on many bestseller lists.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
If you don’t know who Sarah J. Maas is by now, then you have been living underground like the worms in Dune. All of her novels have soared in popularity and she has become the face of the romantasy genre. A Court of Thorns and Roses is her most popular novel and has garnered a huge fanbase over the past couple of years.
Iron Flame
The other popular romantasy author that fans can’t get enough of is Rebecca Yarros. Her two novels in the Empyrean series have selling like hot cakes. Iron Flame is the second novel in the series and you will want to read it after reading Fourth Wing. And after reading both novels, I can say the hype is warranted.
The Fury by Alex Michaelides

One of the most anticipated mystery and suspense novels of 2024 had to be The Fury by Alex Michaelides. His novel The Silent Patient is already considered as one of the best thrillers ever written.
And he picks up right where he left up with The Fury and a murder on an island that takes inspiration from Agatha Christie’s classic novel And Then There Were None. But Michaelides flips the script and tells the story in a way that is very seldomly done.
Firs Lie Wins
Selected by Reese Witherspoon for her book club, First Lie Wins is a cat-and-mouse thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. What happens when you don’t even know the true identity of the protagonist? As Evie Porte tracks down her latest mark, she has doubts but when her old life is used as bait, she can’t help but bite.
The Hunter
Tana French is an amazing crime novelist and her skills are on full display on The Hunter. The story follows two men as they arrive in a small village in Ireland. And one of them will be dead soon after. French sets the scene up for a murder and how the characters arrive there and why. The Hunter is giving Michaelides’s The Fury as the best suspense novel of 2024!
