The Night Circus

The first novel that stands out on this list to me is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. This is a beautifully written fantasy novel and is one I would recommend to anyone that loves fantasy novels. Morgenstern is a talented storyteller and added a wonderful novel to the fantasy genre that will stay with readers for decades.
“I first read The Starless Sea and was captivated so I then picked up The Night Circus. The way she writes puts you into the book. It’s a big book and yet the action moves so fast that when you get to the end, you can’t believe the story is over.
I really and truly sent an email to the email address given at the end of the book expressing my love for the story. I hope beyond hope that it was a genuine email address and she knows how much the book moved me. It did not get returned so I hope so.” -abourque
Station Eleven

Emily St. John Mendel’s novel Station Eleven is one of the best dystopian novels ever written. It is about a band of actors and musicians who travel around the Great Lake region in a post-apocalyptic word. But the band runs into trouble when they encounter a self-proclaimed ‘Prophet’ who uses violence to get whatever he desires.
“Came out shortly before Covid did and made me second guess my choices and get all the necessary vaccines. The book is post apocalyptic and frightening. After a Mexican plane is allowed to land but not deplane, chills erupt and continue. It spells out perfectly what can (and do) affect the world, sans protecting measures.” -fayeesnow
