2025 is the year to read more books and Barnes & Noble wants you to make sure that you do and will be giving out free books to encourage young children to read more.

The popular bookstore chain is giving out a free book to any child who is in grades 1 through 6 that completes their Summer Reading Program challenge. To receive a free book, a child can read any eight books and write about their favorite book in Barnes & Noble’s Reading Journal. After that, they can collect their free book at any Barnes & Noble in July and August.

What I love about this reading challenge is that on top of encouraging children to read more books, the bookstore chain lets readers read any eight books. They aren’t trying to upsell anything. Stuff like this is a great way to get readers to read more and Barnes & Noble hopes that they will choose their store when they want to read more books.

If you have a child from grade 1 through 6, then this is something that you should encourage them to do. This Summer Reading Challenge is easy and will get them to read more books this summer.

The list of the books that you can choose from is limited but it has a lot of books to choose from. Children can choose from books such as include Stella & Marigold, The Twits, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Pizza & Taco or Smile and Try Not to LOL: Jokes for Kids.

The summer is here and Barnes & Noble has made a splash by trying to get young children to read more books. Two things children love are challenges and free things. The only thing missing is some ice-cream and every kid would have signed up for this challenge
