One of my favorite end of year lists that I always enjoy is by Paste. And this year is no exception. Find out what books Paste chose as the best of 2024!
This is one of my favorite times of the year because of the endless end of year lists. Every publication has to release its own list and this is a great way to discover new books. No list is going to be perfect and that is alright. But Paste has some of the best books of the year that I am eager to read.
James by Percival Everett will be on almost every list and rightfully so. But novels like Pearl by Siân Hughes and The Mars House by Natasha Pulley make this list unique and different than other lists. And while it isn’t too different from most lists, I do think this one feels like an editorial sharing their favorite books of the year. You can see the full list below!
Paste’s Best Books of 2024
- James by Percival Everett
- Pearl by Siân Hughes
- Le Fay by Sophie Keetch
- The Women by Kristin Hannah
- Come and Get It by Kiley Reid
- The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
- The Mars House by Natasha Pulley
- The Warm Hands of Ghosts by Katherine Arden
- We’ll Prescribe You a Cat by Syou Ishida
- Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe

These are Paste’s best books of 2024 and what a great list. Most of these novels are on my to-read list and I can’t wait to add the ones that weren’t already on my list. What did you think of Paste’s list? Let us know in the comments below!
