The Women
The novel that has been topping the weekly bestseller lists has to be The Women by Kristin Hannah. This is the novel that has made Hannah a household name and rightfully so. She is an amazing author and her writing style is unique and enhances her storytelling ability. If you haven’t read a book by Hannah before, then this is the perfect novel to start with!
James
Hannah’s novel might be the best selling novel out of the bunch but James by Percival Everett might be the best overall novel of 2024 so far. Everett retells the story of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of Jim. This is a must read and will be winning many awards in the coming months.
The God of the Woods
Whenever you make Barack Obama’s summer reading list, then you know you have written an amazing book. The God of the Woods by Liz Moore is about the disappearance of a teenager at a summer camp and what follows after. Moore has taken the world by surprise and I can’t wait to see what she does next!
The Ministry of Time
Just like the previous novel, The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley also made Barack Obama’s summer reading list. This novel tackles time travel as a civil servant in the near future is given a job as a “bridge” that lives and assists “1847”, or better known as Commander Graham Gore. He initially died in 1845 but is now part of the program that changes both of their lives and what the program really is about.
