Familiar Names Dominate the List

Many of these novels are books that have been dominating this list for most of the year. Funny Story by Emily Henry is the most read book of the week and that shouldn’t surprise many people. Henry is a popular artists, the biggest romance author in my opinion, and all her books do this well.

A novel and and author that I haven’t seen before on the list is The Housemaid Is Watching by Freida McFadden. The latest book in The Housemaid series is a big hit with readers. All three books in the series made the top ten and a total of four books made by McFadden made the top 12. She is having a moment and is the next author to make a name for herself.

Some other notable books on the list are The Women by Kristen Hannah, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. The while list is dominated by women and after looking at the original list, the first male author doesn’t appear until the 29th spot.
