The first ever winner of the Libby Book Awards winners have been announced.
In its first year, Libby decided to announce the winners exclusively with PEOPLE. Winners were announced for 17 different categories and winners were chosen by over 1700 librarians worldwide.
Big Winners of the Libby Book Awards
Some big-name winners include The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride for the best fiction novel. The Nonfiction book award went to The Wager by David Grann.

The award that many readers cared about the most were the fantasy and romantasy awards. Both awards were won by Rebecca Yarros but for different novels. Fourth Wing won the best fantasy novel and the sequel Iron Flame won the award for the best romantasy novel.
That might not be a surprise to many people at this point. Yarros had an amazing year in 2023 and has become a fan favorite with her The Empyrean series. Everyone is eager for her third installment in the series which is bound to win more awards. You can see the full list of winners below!
