Commentary
If you like epic sci-fi novels that is a long read, then this is up your alley. The novel by Hubbard imagines Earth as being conquered by aliens and it is up to Jonnie to reclaim Earth.
This is a novel that readers will like and hate for the same reason. It is a long read and can be a bit over the top at times. It could definitely have been shorter and still told the same story. However, world building and lore take a lot of time and can be argued by some to be necessary.
Conclusion
Battlefield Earth is a fun sci-fi novel that many readers will enjoy. It won’t be a novel that you will think much about after reading it but you won’t regret. Happy reading!
