Mattell and Warner Bros. are releasing the official Barbie movie screenplay for their hit movie that was released this summer.
It will be written by Greta Gerwigand Noah Baumbach and will be publichsed by Faber & Faber. The paperback version will incude an exclusive introduction from from Gerwig and Baumbach as well as right full-color pages from the film and the full movie script.
The book will have 138 pages and will be available for purchase online and in stores on December 26. While it can’t be your christmas present, it does make for a good New Year’s gift.
Barbie is the Highest Grossing Movie of the Year
The Barbie movie earned over $1.44 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing movie of the year. It was one of two movies to cross the billion dollar mark and it is the first movie by a solo female director to cross the billion mark.
No sequel has been announced for the movie as of yet. But if this book is any indication, expect Mattel and Warner Bros. to pitch another Barbie movie in a year or two.
