Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence is one of the biggest actors in the world and was part of one of the biggest movie franchises, The Hunger Games. She is a busy body but she still makes time to read books. Find out what Jennifer Lawrence’s 8 favorite books are!
Most people have seen or heard of the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins but you will be surprised to know that that series didn’t make it onto Lawrence’s list. In fact, one of the other popular fantasy novel-turned blockbuster movie franchise Harry Potter made her list. See what else made Lawrence’s list!
Jennifer Lawrence’s 8 favorite books
- Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling
- The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
- Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
- The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
- The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
- We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
- The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson
- Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters by J. D. Salinger
Having Harry Potter on your list makes it very credible. That is one of the best, if not the best modern fantasy series that readers of all ages can enjoy. But besides the boy who lived, the list includes a lot of adult themed novels and topics. The Catcher in the Rye is also on many lists and rightfully so.
Anna Karenina is a classic novel and one I have to get around to reading one of these days. Besides these three novels, I haven’t come across the other five novels. Lawrence’s favorite books are not mainstream and that says a lot. Finding books is hard and somehow Lawrence seems to be a master at not only finding hidden gems, but ones that have gone on to become her favorite reads.
What did you think of Jennifer Lawrence’s 8 favorite book list? Did any books stand out on her list to you? I am impressed that is had a lot of books that I have not come across before.
