We are marching towards the new year but before we get there, we will be going through a bunch of end of year lists. And we now have one of most anticipated lists of the year. Keep reading to find out the New York Time’s Best Books of 2025 and what we thought of this list!

There are few lists that have as much credence as a New York Time’s list. And they came with a list that is unique and also just a solid list all around. It will take me a few years to go through all the best books of 2025 and determine my favorites. And this list is a great place to start.

I will admit that I haven’t read any books on this so far. That is going to change in the coming weeks but I am surprised. I have read a bunch of books released in 2205 and many of them highly anticipated. The competition was very stiff and I’m sure they just missed out. You can see the full list below!

The New York Time’s Best Books of 2025!

The New York Times staff came together to make this list. There are books on this list that will go on to win a bunch of awards in the coming months. They also divided the list into five fiction and five nonfiction books.

And while I am not the biggest fan of this method, I get it. As someone who has recently gotten into reading nonfiction consistently, I agree and will be checking some of these nonfiction books out.

I can’t really judge this list until I actually read some of the books on this list. I have to give it up to the New York Time’s staff for making a list of books that I haven’t read.
