We finally have the official list of Amazon’s picks for the best books of 2025. And we can’t wait to dive into their picks and see which 20 books were their favorite of 2025!
I love looking and seeing all of the end of year lists and adding books to my to-read list. And these are books that I will end up reading for most of next year. Amazon’s lists always tend to be solid and it is because they have a great team there.
This list has a bunch of books I expected to see on this list but there are a bunch that didn’t make it to my feed. I will be doing a lot of research to determine which books I want to read and what other readers are saying.
Amazon gives a short paragraph description for their picks and while it is better than nothing, I do need a bit more. It also helps seeing a books on multiple lists and seeing that many people feel the same about a book. You can see the full list below!
- Buckeye by Patrick Ryan
- The Correspondent by Virginia Evans
- The Boys in the Light by Nina Willner
- The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong

I have read three books on this list and they were all amazing. So that is a great sign for this list and reassures me that Amazon knows what they are doing.

The three books that I did read from this list are The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong, Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy, and Katabasis by R. F. Kuang. And they were easily three of the best books I read in 2025. I read over a hundred books this year so they should tell you just how good they were.
In the coming days and weeks, I will be looking all the books that are mentioned in dozens of end of year lists to determine what books I want to read.
What books from Amazon’s picks of the best books of 2025 have you read? Are there any books that you believe should have been on this list? Let us know in the comments below. Happy reading!
