Best Selling Books
The best selling book of 2024 was The Women by Kristin Hannah which sold over 1.5 million copies that year. The novel was released in early February and was a constant on weekly bestseller lists. And if you haven’t read this novel, you are missing out on one of the best books of 2024.
In second place is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, one of two books by her to make the list. The novel sold over 1.3 million copies and what is impressive about this novel is that it was released in 2015. With the rise of Tik Tok, Maas has seen her novels get more exposure and it has made it a fan favorite.
Every year, we expect Dav Pilkey to make the list because his novels are beloved by millions of children and parents. His novel The Scarlet Shedder sold over 1.25 million copies. In Fourth place is the newest author to make a splash, Freida McFadden. Her novel The Housemaid sold 1.1 million copies and expect her to make this list again next year.
Another mainstay on these lists is Atomic Habits by James Clear which always is a top seller. Colleen Hoover makes the list twice with It Ends with Us at 6 and it Starts with Us at 10. With a movie releasing, Hoover saw many readers flock to her novels. It will be interesting to see if she stays on this list next year.
Coming in 7th and 8th are Iron Flame and Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. These romantasy novels have been everywhere and I expect them to make the list again next year. With the release of Onyx Storm in late January of 2025, I think it will be the bestselling novel of this year.
