As we get older and older, the further we get from the books we read during our childhood. Few of us ever revisit them and that is a big mistake. Growing up, many of us read books either at home or at school and fell in love with some of these stories. Even if you aren’t an avid reader, you most likely have memories of some childhood books that have stayed with you over the years. And for others, they read every book within their vicinity. Whether you liked fantasy novels, scary books, or even comics, there are standouts that when we see them, they take us back to our childhood.

I remember different moments in my life where I would be reading different books. Whether it was Goosebumps, Arthur, or Captain Underpants, these books are synonymous with my childhood. Now, whenever I see these books at a bookstore, it makes me nostalgic and I am happy that many of these classic childhood books are still popular today!

One of my favorite books as a child was Holes by Louis Sachar. It is always great when the movie adaptation is also great. I ended up rereading this novel after thinking about it and it holds up well even years later. Another novel that also had a good movie adaptation was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
All of the books on this list are amazing and mean something different to each reader. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll has been popular with children and adults even though it was released over a century ago. And who can forget Harry Potter, a series that is coincides with many of our childhoods.
