In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261, we found out that Gojo made his return with Yuta controlling his body using Kenjaku’s ability. Both Sukuna and and Yuta-Gojo use domain expansion and giving us another domian expansion showdown between the two strongest sorcerers. In this article, we will predict what the battle will look like.
Before we get into the battle, we have to acknoledge that Sukuna has a lot of binding vows and he has limited his abilities. That will give Yuta-Gojo a chance to be on even footing. Unlike Gojo, this will be Yuta’s first time using Gojo’s powers and he has a lot to learn. By having Sukuna under a bunch of binding vows, they will be on even footing.
If you are expecting Sukuna to ever run out of cursed technique, then you are using too much logic. Sukuna has been fighting constantly for hours and is still able to use another domain expansion. Yes, we know that his cursed technique returns whenever he lands a black flash, creating an infinite loop. This has been horrible writing and Gege Akutami has fallen into the Dragon Ball Z trap of always increasing power levels to make the fights more interesting.
Sukuna Versus Gojo Part Two
Chapter 261 ends with both Sukuna and Yuta-Gojo using their domian expansion, giving us a part two between their domians. In the first match, Gojo’s domain was too small and Sukuna had the upper hand. We saw Gojo push himself to even put up a fight against Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine. Now, it is Yuta’s turn and expect a different battle.
The first question is how effectively can Yuta use Gojo’s abilities? Unlike Gojo, Yuta won’t have full mastery of Gojo’s abilities. What will the learning curve look like, if there even is one? This alone gives Sukuna an advantage but Sukuna is facing Gojo and Yuta and he will have to face off against both of their abilties.

After Gojo, Yuta is the second strongest with his massive reserve of cursed technique as well as an abundent of abilities. And his own domian expansion is second only to Gojo. Will we see Yuta’s domain combine with Gojo’s? I believe that will be the most likely scenario. We already saw Sukuna’s domain dominate Gojo’s and that will again be the most likely outcome because Sukuna’s domain is much bigger than Gojo’s. But with Yuta’s sure hit ability as well being able to use all the techniques he has copies randomly as he grabs a sword from the ground, we will see the best of both domains.
In the battle against Yuta and Sukuna, the King of Curses was able to hold off Yuta’s domian and even land a fatal blow to Yuta. Only Gojo has been able to fight Sukuna on par and we will once again see them two face off. Only now, Gojo should be able to overcome Sukuna’s ability with the help of Yuta’s abilties.
And even then, I do not think this will be the final battle. Gege is not going to let Gojo be the one to end the battle. That is unfortunately the truth and we will see another twist at the end of this battle and Sukuna will come out as the winner as always. But not before expending most of his cursed technique. This will set the stage for Itadori Yuji to step in and face off against Sukuna and save Megumi. We may even see Nobara return because her powers attack the soul and that makes her essential in saving Megumi.
Conclusion
Chapter 262 cannot come fast enough. The break doesn’t help either but it is better than having the cliffhanger being if Gojo was back or not in last week’s chapter. The only question I have is how long will this battle last because the last Gojo and Sukuna battle lasted a while and I expect that to happen again. There will be a lot of new techniques that Gege will likely explore as we get close to the ending of this epic battle.
