A new book about Taylor Swift will be releasing in 2024 titled “Heartbreak Is the National Anthem: How Taylor Swift Reinvented Pop Music.
The book will focus on Swift and her global impact and is written by veteran Rolling Stone writer Rob Sheffield. He has followed Swift extensively throughout her career. The book will come out on November 12, 2024.
The timing of the book makes sense as Swift is having another big year. On April 19, Swift will be releasing her new album The Tortured Poets Department. And just like all of her previous albums, it will dominate the charts and the summer.
Sheffield has also written bestsellers such as “Love Is a Mix Tape: Life and Loss, One Song at a Time”; “Talking to Girls About Duran Duran: One Young Man’s Quest for True Love and a Cooler Haircut”; “Turn Around Bright Eyes: The Rituals of Love and Karaoke”; “On Bowie” and “Dreaming the Beatles: The Love Story of One Band and the Whole World.”
The book will be about Taylor Swift and her cultural impact. According to Dey Street Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, the book will explore Swift’s impact.
“A cultural phenomenon. A worldwide obsession. An agent of emotional chaos. There’s no parallel to Taylor Swift in history: a teenage girl who turns into the world’s favorite pop star, songwriter, storyteller, guitar hero, live performer, changing how music is made and heard. But behind it all, she’s an artist on the level of all-time greats like The Beatles, Prince, or David Bowie,” said Dey Street Books in a statement.
