Most of us know it is that time of the year again when you start hearing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You.” That song is attached to the holidays at this point. That is also true for some novels as well as movies.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Most people have watched the movie (numerous times I imagine) but the novel is also worth reading. It is a short story with a beautiful message to get you in the spirit of giving.
Letters from Father Christmas by J.R.R. Tolkien
We all know by J.R.R. Tolkien as the father of fantasy and the author of The Lord of the Rings series. But he also authored an amazing Christmas book. Every December, a letter would arrive with a stamp from the North Pole from Father Christmas at the Tolkien household. Those letters have been published as a book for everyone to read.
The Polar Express

One of my favorite books and Christmas movies is The Polar Express. The artwork, the story, and the characters made this book hard to put down. This is a novel that I revisit every year and a short read that captures the magic of being a child around Christmas time.
