The Harry Potter TV show is in the works and fans will be happy to learn that is will be exploring the books more deeply.
David Heyman will be the executive producer of the Harry Potter TV series. He was also a producer for all eight movie adaptations for Warner Bros. Pictures. When asked about the show, he said this:
David Heyman, who acted as a producer on all eight of the Harry Potter movie adaptations for Warner Bros. Pictures, recently chatted with Total Film magazine about the highly-anticipated TV series (of which he is executive producer).
“It’s early days,” he says. “We haven’t even hired a writer to begin writing. It’s a bit early. But hopefully [it will be] something that’s very special, and gives us an opportunity to see the books, and to enjoy a series which explores the books more deeply.”
News that HBO would be rebooting the Harry Potter franchise was officially made public in April of this year. The cast will be new and will take a fresh approach.

In partnership with Warner Bros. Television and J.K. Rowling, this new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years.”
The show will be based on the books and will be about a decade long. Expectations are high for this show and HBO is eager to find a show that will be as successful or even surpass Game of Thrones. With a large audience, Harry Potter is going to be have a large audience that is going to tune it. But it will be the show’s quality that will or will not retain them.
