The list starts off with a novel by Andy Weir. Even if you aren’t an avid book reader, he is someone that you may have come across without even knowing. His novel The Martian was adapted into a movie and has garnered a huge following in the past decade. I have loved all of his novels and will read his latest release without hesitation.
Some classics that made the list include Dune, The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Ender’s Game, and Stranger in a Strange Land. All of these are amazing novels that you should read at least once. They are some of the best books that I have ever read.
Lastly, Station Eleven is a brilliant novel by Emily St. John Mandel. She is an amazing writer and her world-building is top notch. Just like Weir, she is an author that has written multiple great novels that are worth checking out.

Wow. 7 authors, 1 woman, 6 white guys. Way to go, and I’d really rather read something else in 2023, cheers.
Why are you so racist?
It’s not like the sci-fi scene is filled with women and even if it had this genre is popular among men mostly. most women like drama and romance there may be few exceptions, but this hold water for most women who read.
being outraged that sci-fi books are mostly written by men is the same as being mad that the sun comes up from the east everyday.
Ursula Le Guin, Doris Lessing. Need I say more.
