Mystery Books to Read

The list includes some of the most popular mystery books to be ever written. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson is a must read. But the list also contains older novels such as Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. And who can forget about the timeless classic The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris?
Recently, I read Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and was unable to put the novel down. It is a horror novel that takes place in Mexico and includes magic and Nazis. It is an interesting combination based on facts that Moreno-Garcia uses to tell a tale unlike any other.

After reading the book mentioned above, I had to read another book by Moreno-Garcia. That is why I chose to read her popular novel Mexican Gothic. Her writing style is unique and I love the creepy themes of the book. The characters are fun but my favorite thing about the novel was the small-town setting that feels like traveling back in time.
