The Targaryens have been able to rule Westeros because they had dragons. Now, the Hightowers also have dragons and a showdown between the dragons of each faction is about to take place. Whoever rules the sky is bound to win the war and we are seeing both Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent plan on how to deal with the dragons.
For nine episodes, we have not seen the dragons in combat. That is because George R.R. Martin and the showrunners are setting everything up and showing us how we got here. It looks like we are finally here as the dragons take center stage in the trailer. Make no mistake, this war will come down to the faction that has the last dragon standing.
Besides the dragons, it will be interesting to see how Westeros is divided. We have seen support for each family being cast in previous episodes. Now, they will fight for the right to rule Westeros and leave their imprints in the history books. Expect more allegiances through marriage as that is the main way alliances are made in the show.
