LeBron James is one of the biggest athletes in the world and on his way to becoming the next billionaire basketball player. But when he isn’t playing basketball, he is reading a book to pass the time. Keep reading to find out what LeBron James’ favorite books are!
What does one of the best basketball players like to read? Anything that might grab the Los Angeles Laker’s basketball player’s interest. The books on this list are very different from each other and yet, you have heard of them. From classics to books about leadership, LeBron has no one preference when it comes to books.

LeBron James’ Favorite Books
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
- The Godfather by Mario Puzzi
- Leadership by Doris Kearns Goodwin
- Decoded by Jay-Z
- The Pact by Sampson Davis
A Great Variety of Books
Seeing The Alchemist on this list was surprising. It is a novel that is a favorite of mine and I recommend it to anyone that might feel lost. It might mean one thing to one reader and totally different to another.
Another novel that I am a big fan of is The Godfather. Most people may have seen the movie but not many people turn to the novel that the classic movie was based on. The writing is top-notch and it no surprise to me that it went on to become as big as it did.
The other three books are foreign to me. Jay-Z is good friends with LeBron so it not surprising to see a book from his friend on the list. It does make sense to see a book about leadership here as Lebron is one of the best if not the best leaders on a basketball court.
Conclusion
The list looks good and I am curious to find out what else is on LeBron’s list of favorite books. From this list, I would say it is diverse and would not be surprised to see some more classic books on it. What do you think of his list and what books have you read on this list?
