Callie Hart’s Fae & Alchemy series will return for one more book but readers will have to wait longer than originally expected to discover how the story ends.

The third novel, commonly called Quicksilver Book 3, is now scheduled to be released on September 7, 2027. The official title has not been revealed, and the publisher is currently promoting the finale under the placeholder name Fae & Alchemy Book 3.

There is already some concrete information about the highly anticipated romantasy sequel. Grand Central Publishing has confirmed that Book 3 will conclude the trilogy, reunite readers with Saeris and Fisher, and run for more than 600 pages. Author Callie Hart has also revealed that she knows the title, even if she is not ready to share it yet.

Here is everything we know so far about Quicksilver Book 3, including its new release date, title status, story details and place in the series.

Latest update: Fae & Alchemy Book 3 is scheduled for September 7, 2027. Its official title and cover have not been announced as of September 20, 2026.

When Will Quicksilver Book 3 Be Released?

Quicksilver Book 3 is currently scheduled to be released on September 7, 2027 in the United States.

That date comes directly from Grand Central Publishing’s official listing, making it the most reliable date available. The listing identifies Callie Hart as the author, Grand Central Publishing as the publisher and September 7, 2027 as the on-sale date.

This is a significant change for readers who previously saw a November 2026 publication date on retailer pages. Some outdated listings may still display November 10, 2026, but the publisher’s current page and major preorder listings now point to September 2027. Until Hart or her publisher announces another change, September 7, 2027 is the date fans should follow.

The extra wait will be disappointing after the enormous cliffhanger and unanswered questions in Brimstone. Still, a firm publisher listing means the conclusion is already moving through the publication process and can be preordered in multiple formats.

Does Quicksilver Book 3 Have a Title?

No official title has been announced. The book is currently listed as Fae & Alchemy Book 3, while Goodreads labels it Untitled (Fae & Alchemy, #3).

That does not mean the novel is truly untitled. In a November 2025 Harper’s Bazaar interview, Hart confirmed that she already knew the name of the third book. When asked whether readers could guess it by looking closely at Brimstone, she suggested they might be able to make a good attempt “peripherally.”

That small clue has produced plenty of fan theories. Some readers have predicted titles connected to salt, halite or another material that would continue the elemental and alchemical naming pattern established by Quicksilver and Brimstone. Those suggestions remain speculation. Until Hart or Grand Central unveils the name, they should not be treated as confirmed titles.

The safest wording for now is either Fae & Alchemy Book 3 or Quicksilver Book 3.

Is Book 3 the Final Fae & Alchemy Novel?

Yes. The publisher describes Book 3 as the conclusion to the Fae & Alchemy series.

That makes the reading order straightforward:

  1. Quicksilver
  2. Brimstone
  3. Fae & Alchemy Book 3 (official title to be announced)

The third book is expected to complete the central story of Saeris Fane and Kingfisher rather than serve as the beginning of another multi-book arc. Of course, a trilogy finale does not necessarily prevent Hart from revisiting the world or its supporting characters someday. No spinoff has been officially announced, however, so readers should expect Book 3 to deliver the ending promised by the current series.

What Will Quicksilver Book 3 Be About?

The official synopsis is brief, but it establishes the stakes without revealing the finale’s biggest surprises.

The rules have been broken, the world has fundamentally changed, and Saeris and Fisher must find a way to save their kingdom before it is too late. The publisher calls them “god-bound warriors” whose final fates will become intertwined in the concluding volume.

That description confirms several important points:

  • Saeris and Fisher will remain at the center of the story.
  • The survival of their kingdom will drive the final conflict.
  • Their magical and emotional bond will be essential to the ending.
  • The novel is designed as a true conclusion, not another bridge to a fourth book.

Hart was already deeply involved in writing the third installment when Brimstone arrived. In the same Harper’s Bazaar interview, she said she knew what would happen in Book 3 and was well into working on it. She also acknowledged the second book’s cliffhanger, suggesting that its unresolved questions were deliberately constructed to lead into the finale.

Readers can therefore expect Book 3 to pick up the consequences of Brimstone rather than reset the story. The official copy promises the “ultimate explosive mixture” of fae and alchemy, language that points toward a large-scale conclusion combining the series’ magic, political danger and central romance.

Will Saeris and Kingfisher Return?

Yes. The publisher specifically names Saeris and Fisher in its description, confirming that their relationship and shared fate remain the heart of the finale.

The first two books built the series around their volatile connection: they met in Quicksilver, while the publisher says they “combusted” in Brimstone. Book 3 will reveal how the two god-bound warriors’ destinies ultimately fit together.

Supporting characters are likely to remain important as well, especially after the alliances, revelations and conflicts established in the first two novels. However, the official description does not yet provide a complete character list, and no point-of-view details have been confirmed. Any claims about exactly who survives, returns or narrates the finale would go beyond what Hart and her publisher have announced.

How Long Will Quicksilver Book 3 Be?

Grand Central Publishing currently lists Fae & Alchemy Book 3 at 624 pages.

That is substantial enough to give Hart room to resolve the trilogy’s romantic, magical and political storylines. Page counts can still change during editing and typesetting, particularly this far ahead of publication, so 624 pages should be viewed as the current planned length rather than an irreversible final count.

The listing also provides the ISBN 978-1-5387-7427-4 for the ebook edition. The publisher currently shows ebook and hardcover preorder options, including a higher-priced hardcover edition that appears positioned as a special or deluxe format. Final cover art and complete edition details have not yet been revealed on the listing.

Has the Cover Been Revealed?

No finalized cover has been publicly unveiled on the publisher’s page. The current image is a placeholder for Fae & Alchemy Book 3.

That makes sense while the actual title remains under wraps. A coordinated title-and-cover reveal would allow the publisher to turn the announcement into a major event for a series with a large online readership. Until that happens, any fan-made cover or retailer placeholder should not be mistaken for the official design.

Why Is the Third Book So Highly Anticipated?

Quicksilver grew from a self-published romantasy success into an international bestseller and major publishing phenomenon. Its mixture of dangerous fae, alchemy, enemies-to-lovers tension and a morally gray romantic lead found a huge audience online. Brimstone then expanded the world while leaving readers with a cliffhanger that made the wait for Book 3 much harder.

The franchise is also growing beyond the books. Netflix acquired adaptation rights to Quicksilver, bringing even more attention to Saeris and Fisher’s story. The screen project and the novel trilogy are separate productions, but interest in one will likely keep raising the profile of the other as the final book approaches.

Most importantly, Book 3 has a clear job: it must resolve a relationship and fantasy conflict developed across two very long novels. Hart is not simply writing the next adventure. She is writing the ending that will shape how readers remember the entire trilogy.

What Has Not Been Announced Yet?

Several major details are still being kept secret:

  • The official title
  • The final cover
  • A longer plot synopsis
  • The complete list of point-of-view characters
  • Narrators and release information for the audiobook
  • Special-edition features such as sprayed edges, endpapers or bonus material
  • Book-tour or launch-event details

These announcements will likely arrive gradually during the lead-up to September 2027. Because the book is still nearly a year away, readers should be cautious about viral posts that present theories, placeholder art or old retailer dates as official news.

The Bottom Line

Quicksilver Book 3 is officially on the way, but the wait has become longer. The untitled Fae & Alchemy finale is scheduled for September 7, 2027, will be published by Grand Central Publishing and is currently listed at 624 pages.

Callie Hart already knows the title, and she has hinted that attentive Brimstone readers might be able to make an educated guess. For now, though, no title theory has been confirmed. What is official is that Saeris and Fisher will return as god-bound warriors facing a final fight for their kingdom and their story will end with this third installment.

With the title, cover and fuller synopsis still to come, this is an article worth bookmarking. We will update it whenever Hart or her publisher reveals the next major piece of Fae & Alchemy news.
