The House in the Cerulean Sea

I remember choosing to read The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune mostly because of the beautiful book cover. And I was glad that I did because this cozy fantasy novel was an amazing read. The characters, setting, and plot made this an enjoyable read.
The Midnight Library

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is a beautiful story about coming to terms with the choices we make. It came out in 2022 and ended up making several end-of-year lists for good reason. The novel is about regrets and how small choices can have a big impact on your life. The protagonist gets to live various lives, trying to find the one that will truly make her happy.
A Man Called Ove
In A Man Called Ove, the protagonist Ove is a cranky old man who has lived a full life with his wife and now plans to end his life in an orderly fashion. But before he can do that, he is interrupted by a young couple and their two daughters that have moved next to Ove. They need his help and an unlikely friendship forms that changes the course of Ove’s life.

The Kamogawa Food Detectives

The Kamogawa Food Detectives book is for anyone who loves food or thinking about traveling to Japan. The novel and series is also more than just love letters to the various dishes of Japan. These books highlight the power of food and how it brings people together and how it can heal relationships and shows how important food is in our daily lives.
Conclusion
All I need is a good book and a hot beverage and I will forget about all my problems. This winter season is cold and I am only going outside if I have to. This list of cozy books has helped me escape to warmer places and with some amazing characters.
Sometimes, all you need is a cozy book during the winter season. I hope this list holds you over until the weather improves. And if you end up going through the list somehow before the snow lets up, we have more lists for you. Stay warm and until next time, happy reading!
