It has finally happened, I reached my goal of reading a hundred or more books in 2025 and I did it all before November!
The reason I chose to make it my reading goal to read a hundred or more books this year was because my to-read list was getting out of hand. I was adding tons of books to my reading list but not reading as much as I would have liked.
By making it a goal to read more books in 2025, I encouraged myself to read more books and it worked much better than I expected. There have been so many amazing books released over the past couple of years and I was still trying to read books from years ago. This led to me being frustrated that I wasn’t reading all these books that I was interested in.
My solution was to read books from my to-read list and read any book that catches my eye. All I had to do was read for an hour a night consistently and also read books when I had free time. I knew I had a good chance to reach my goal when I was reading ten plus books in the first couple of months.
While I knew that was an unrealistic pace, it did encourage me and show me that I could read 2-3 books a week, especially books that I was unable to put down until I reached the last page.
I have read 101 books in 2025 so far and that one book short of the highest I read in a year. I read 102 in 2018 but I was unable to come close to that number in the following years. This time, I plan to keep reading and choose a higher goal so I can keep myself pushing to to read more.
While I am happy I reached my goal, it comes second to actually reading books and enjoying them. It is a great motivator and reminder but ultimately, you should just enjoy the books you are reading. I will be sharing all the books I read in the coming books in four parts so be on the lookout for that. Until then, happy reading!

Very impressive! I’m not a fast reader so that will never happen for me.
