Over the past decade, Emily Henry has established herself as one of the best romance authors alive. And she has written many amazing books that have garnered her a loyal fanbase. That is why we will be looking at the three best Emily Henry books to read!
Emily Henry arrived on the scene with her debut young adult novel The Love That Split the World in January 2016. And in 2020, Henry released her first adult romance Beach Reads in 2020 and it cemented her as one of the go-to authors in the romance genre. Since then, Henry has gone on to write a bunch of amazing books and has a bunch of book adaptations on the way.
But we will only be focusing on her books here and choose her three books here. With nine books to choose from, this wasn’t as hard as I imagined it would be. But with every new release, this list might need to be updated every time. But until then, we will be looking at the ones already released.
The Three Best Emily Henry Books
The first book we had to choose was People We Meet on Vacation. Released in 2021, this book was the first book to win then 2021 Goodreads Choice Awards, starting her three-year winning streak. While Beach Reads was her first widespread successful novel, this one proved that it wasn’t a fluke, Instead, it was her announcement that she has arrived.
The premise of the novel is that two best friends have gone on ten vacations and have one last vacation to fall in love or give up and move on. Few authors can make the premise simple and the plot make fans unable to put the novel down.
The second book we had to with was Beach Read. This was the book that let the world know who Emily Henry was. The novel was released in 2020 and officially started Henry’s dominance of the romance genre.
In this novel, two authors that are polar opposites that are living in neighboring beach houses, both suffering from writer’s block. But they decide to take action to get them out of their lack of creativity but what follows is something neither expected.
And finally, her third best book in our opinion is Happy Place. And unlike her previous novels, the hype for this was huge and Emily Henry surpassed every expectation. And this novel also won the Goodreads Choice Awards for 2023. This may be the one that many people will think of first when they think of books by Emily Henry.
Harriet and Wyn were the perfect couple in everyone’s eyes. But now, they have broken apart five months ago and have yet to tell any of their friends. Now, they both find themselves sharing a bedroom in a cottage in Maine and pretend to be in love for their friends for their last group hangout.
