Popular Fiction Books on Goodreads 2024 Edition

The Women by Kristin Hannah was the best selling book of 2024 and it is a powerful novel that everyone needs to read. I have raved about this novel and have been a big Hannah fan for years. So, seeing her get the recognition that she deserved felt like a win for all her fans who knew just how talented of a writer she is.

There are a few books on this list that I want to read in the coming months and one of them is Intermezzo by Sally Rooney. I have heard great things about this novel and have to make time to read it.

Another novel I will give a chance is The Wedding People by Allison Espach. It isn’t my usual reading material but I do want to see if the hype is real or not.

One of the best books on this list in my opinion is James by Percival Everett. There have been a lot of books that have been loosely based on classics. But James takes it a step further and corrects the mistake of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and gives James the voice that he deserved.

Another fantastic novel on this list that I enjoyed a lot was Martyr by Kaveh Akbar. This novel talks about America’s dark history and has a protagonist that reminded me Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye. Akbar’s novel is thought provoking, educational, and is easily one of the best books of 2024!

Conclusion

It is a great feeling when the most popular works are also some of the best. And I’m sure there are many more works that people would add to this list.
