If you are a big Lemony Snicket fan, then you are in luck. His novel The Bad Beginning,” Book 1 of A Series of Unfortunate Events will be reissued in a deluxe limited edition in a few months. And if you haven’t read a novel by him before, this is a great place to start.

The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily by Dino Buzzati is Snicket’s favorite book in the world. It is a book for 9-11 year olds and has fantastic illustrations that will awe many readers. The second book on the list, Leo: A Ghost Story, is meant for 3-6 year olds and you can figure out the pattern. 

Snicket enjoys reading books no matter what the age target is. And he might have a point. We all have childhood books that we hold dear to our hearts and remember fondly. There is nothing stopping us from revisiting the books that made us fall in love with reading in the first place.
