Late night host of Late Night With Seth Meyers as well as podcaster Seth Meyers is an avid reader. He grew up in a household that read a lot of books and his taste in books was influenced by his parents. And today, we will be looking at Seth Meyers’ favorite books to read!

Meyers got his start on Saturday Night Life in 2001 and made a name for himself and in 2014, he hosted the Tonight Show, replacing Jimmy Fallon which he still hosts to this day. He also hosts a weekly podcast with his brother called Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers. Now, we can get back to Meyers’ list of favorite books.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John Le Carre

One of Meyers favorite novels is Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré. He is a big fan of spy novels and John le Carré is one of the best authors of this subgenre. He loves spy novels so much that he decided to reread them this summer. He has some great novels on this list such as White Teeth by Zadie Smith, and Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng.

Meyers is also a huge fan of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series before they were made into the hit HBO Game of Thrones series. ” I read the “Game of Thrones” books before the TV show, and the Red Wedding on the page was as gut-wrenching as it was onscreen, and I just think it speaks to what a great writer George R.R. Martin is, because my heart literally was pounding through my chest as I realized what was happening.”

Seth Meyers Favorite Books

Meyers has a fun list with a lot of newer releases making an appearance. I have yet to read Tinker Tailor, Soldier, Spy but I have only heard good things about it. This will be my motivation to finally read it as I did buy a copy earlier this year and just never got around to reading it.

These are just some of many of Seth Meyers’ favorite books to read. You can check some more of his favorite books here and search articles as he often talks about what he is reading. What did you think of Seth Meyers favorite books? Let us know in the comments below!
