June is officially here and with that, we are onto the 6th month of the year. While not technically the first half of the year, it hasn’t stopped Amazon from choosing the best books of 2025 so far. So, keep reading to find out what they are!
Unlike most of Amazon’s lists, this one was curated by the editorial staff and not their usual bestseller lists. Say what you will about Amazon but their book editors are some of the best in the industry and truly love books.
The first half of 2025 has been a good one so far and there have been a lot of good books released this year. Personally, I think 2024 had a better first half but I haven’t gotten to reading many of the books released this year so far. You can see the full list below!

A Solid List
I have yet to see a bad list by Amazon’s book editors. They are some of the best book reviewers and I always love how they diversify their lists. Their best book of 2025 is Wild Dark Shores by Charlotte McConaghy, a book I haven’t heard much about. But now, I will be checking it out because of this list.
Notable picks include King of Ashes, Sunrise on the Reaping, and Atmosphere. They are all popular authors and have made a splash this year with their new novels. But Amazon also highlights authors you may not have read before and I can’t wait to see how many of these books make the end of the year list!
