If you haven’t read A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, then you are missing out. The protagonist is imprisoned at a famous hotel and while this might seem boring, it is anything but. Towles writing and novel structure made this one of my favorite novels and one I recommend to others often.

All the Light We Cannot See 

A novel that highlights beautiful writing is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. This novel takes place during World War II and tells a love story of two people as they navigate and try to survive the war. Doer’s writing comes feels poetic and will resonate with you and pull on your emotions till the last past.
