These are The Most Checked Out Books At the Seattle Public Library

2024 is nearly over and everyone is curious as to what everyone else was reading. Now we have a good idea with the Seattle Public Library releasing their list of the most checked out books 2024. Keep reading to find out what books made their list!

Lists like these give us a good idea of what is trending and what everyone is gravitating towards. The most checked out print book of 2024 was The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. That is considered to be the one of the best (if not the best) book of 2023.

Coming right behind it is maybe the best book og 2024 with James by by Percival Everett, the novel that won the 2024 National Book Award for fiction. The third most popular print novel was a Japanese novel called The Kamogawa Food Detectives by Hisashi Kashiwai and I’ll be adding it to my to-read list to see what the hype is about.

The most popular ebook was Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. This novel and The Empyrean series have been very popular since its release in 2023 and fans can’t enough of it. The third installation will be releasing in January 2025 and will be shattering many records.

Tom Lake by Ann Patchett came in second followed by Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver.  In fourth place was The Women by Kristin Hannah, one of the bestselling books of 2024. As a huge Hannah fan, I am excited to see her getting recognition like this and can’t wait to see what she does next. You can see the full lists below!
